Brand Betafoam

Betafoam is used to treat seborrhoeic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, neurodermatitis anogenittai pruritus, psonasis. inflammatory phase of xerosis. Betafoam contains betamethasone.

Betafoam usage
Apply thin film 2-4 times a day. Therapy should be discontinued when control is achieved, if no improvement is seen, reassessment of diagnosis may be necessary.

Contraindications Systemic fungal infections, hypersensitivity to betamethasone or any component.

Do not use occlusive dressing on exudative lesions, discontinue if skin irritation or contact dermatitis occurs, do not use in patients with decreased skin circulation. Apply topical sparingly to area and gently rub in until it disappear, not for use on broken skin or in areas of infection, do not apply to face or inguinal areas.

Drug interactions: Effects are decreased barbiturates, phenytoin, rifampicin.

Side Effects: dryness, irritation, papular rashes, burning, erythema, itching.
