Brand Thyronorm (T4)

Thyronorm is prescribed as a treatment for an under active thyroid. It helps by balancing the hormones that the thyroid gland should normally produce therefore reinstating balance in the system.
It may also be prescribed for related disorders such as thyroid nodules, thyroiditis, thyroid cancer(s) and some kinds of goiters. Speak to your doctor for a full list of treatments.

Dosage & Administration
Always take Thyronorm as advised by your health care provider.
Your prescription will depend on your exact condition and medical history. Never change your prescription without your health care provider's advice.
Your health care provider will most likely tell you to dose 30 minutes to 1 hour before breakfast, on an empty stomach, alongside a glass of water. To achieve the best possible results, you should take Thyronorm consistently the same time(s) each day.

Side Effects
Call your health care provider if you experience any side effects whilst taking Thyronorm. Possible ones include, but are not limited to, those listed below.

• Temporary thinning hair (temporary)
• An increased sensitivity to heat
• Feeling nervous, or having mood swings
• Tiredness
• Diarrhea or a dodgy stomach
• Shakes or tremors
• Seizures
• Headaches or migraines
• Trouble breathing or shortness of breath
• A tight or uncomfortable chest
• Abnormal heartbeat
• Swelling
• Allergic reaction (symptoms can include skin rashes, hives, trouble breathing, or itching)

Precautions
Always disclose any of the following to your doctor before you begin taking Thyronorm.
If you are preganant, breastfeeding, or trying to conceive
If you have any allergies
If you are taking any other medication, whether prescription or non-prescription, or any supplements or vitamins
If you have a medical history of increased thyroid hormones (thyrotoxicosis), decreased adrenal gland function, heart conditions, coronary artery disease, irregular heartbeat, hyper-tension, or diabetes
If you are a smoker or drinker of alcohol
If you have any form of surgery scheduled
