Finalgon is a combined medicine for external application. It is a rubefacient. Finalgon is used for treating muscle and joint pain of various origin, tendovaginitis, lumbago, neuritis, athletic injury.
Therapeutic actions:
Finalgon works by increasing Blood circulation to the area of application, hence promoting localised warmth and heat to relieve pain. The warming reaction to Finalgon occurs within a few minutes after application and reaches a peak within 20 to 30 minutes.
What is it used for?:
Temporary relief of pain of Rheumatism, Arthritis, Lumbago, Muscular aches, Sprains and Strains, Sporting injuries and other conditions where local warmth is beneficial.
Contraindications and cautions:
Do not use Finalgon if you are allergic to nonivamide, butoxyethyl nicotinate or any of the other ingredients in Finalgon.
Avoid contact with the eyes.
Do not use Finalgon if you have:
- very sensitive skin;
- any broken skin surface;
- inflamed skin;
- when skin disease is present.
Finalgon is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Side effects:
Possible: reddening of the skin and a burning sensation, mild and transient itching or burning at the site of application.
