Ciplacef is usually prescribed in the treatment of various bacterial infections, but it can also be used for other purposes.

Drug Class and Mechanism
Ciplacef is a drug that belongs to a wide class of medicines called cephalosporin antibiotics. Most cephalosporin antibiotics interfere in the formation of the bacteria (it affects its cell wall, thus leading to its rupture and to the bacteria’s death).

Storage
Ciplacef should be stored away from the children’s reach, in a dry and cool place.

How to use
Ciplacef should be administered at a clinic, hospital, by your doctor. If you are injecting Ciplacef at home you should ask your doctor for the usual injection procedures. If you notice that the drug is discolored or if it contains particles you should not use it. You should take Ciplacef regularly (each day, at a certain hour). You should not stop your treatment with Ciplacef without your physician’s approval even if you start to feel better. You must not reuse syringes, needles or any other materials. Ask your doctor, a pharmacist or a nurse how you should dispose of these materials after you have used them.

Missed Dose
In order to get the proper results from your treatment with this drug you should administer it on a regular basis. If you happen to miss one of your doses, you should administer another one as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for another drug dose, simply skip the one that you have missed and continue with your normal dosing schedule. For other advices and recommendations, consult with your personal physician. It is strictly forbidden to take double doses of this drug without first consulting with your doctor.
