Brand Atopex 100 mg

Atopex is manufactured by Cipla Pharmaceuticals and is offered as a generic alternative to Atopica.  Atopex is used for the treatment of skin allergies, namely atopic dermatitis in dogs.

Active Ingredient:  Cyclosporine, is a selective immunosuppressor, targeting the immune cells involved in the allergic reaction.

Atopex is proven to reduce itching and skin lesions in the majority of dogs.

Atopex is safe even when used over long periods and normally doesn't cause any serious side effects.  Should not be used on dogs under 6 months of age.

The usual Atopex dosage is one pill given once daily. The strength of the pills given depends on the dog's weight and is normally 10mg for dogs 4-9lbs, 25mg for dogs 9.1-16lbs, 50mg for dogs 16.1-33lbs and 100mg for dogs 33.1-64lbs.
